Let God Build the House

Psalm 127:1

A couple can work hard, make plans, and still discover that effort alone cannot create a healthy home. Psalm 127 reminds us that unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain. God must be more than a guest in our marriage; He must be the foundation and Master Builder.

Letting God build means allowing His Word to shape how you speak, forgive, handle money, raise children, make decisions, and respond under pressure. It means asking not only, ‘What do we want?’ but ‘What kind of home is God forming through us?’

The Lord’s building work often happens through small acts of obedience. A sincere apology repairs a wall. A truthful conversation strengthens the foundation. Shared prayer opens a window to grace. Give God access to every room of your relationship and trust His patient craftsmanship.

Is there an area of our home or marriage we are building without God’s direction?

Prayer

Master Builder, establish our marriage on Your truth. Correct what is unstable, restore what is damaged, and teach us to build with prayer, obedience, humility, and love. Amen.
