Golden Spring Community Center buzzed with excitement and heartfelt connections as Carla Dunbar Ministries International (CDMI) and its Families Ministry (F.A.M.I.L.I.E.S.) hosted the remarkable Kingdom Out 2024 on Saturday, June 22. This biannual outreach event, designed to uplift families and enhance community well-being, saw an extraordinary turnout and an impressive array of services, making a significant impact on the lives of many.
The day was a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion, with various organizations offering essential services. The Poor Relief Department and senior justice representatives from the Ministry of Justice provided much-needed social services and restorative justice support. Probation officers from the Department of Correctional Services were present, offering guidance and assistance. Angeletta Aquart from Sagicor Jamaica provided invaluable financial advice, while Women Grow Global extended business support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Health and wellness were a major focus, with the Golden Spring Health Centre and the KSA Health Department, through the Ministry of Health & Wellness Jamaica, conducting health screenings. Over 50 individuals benefitted from these screenings, receiving crucial checks and consultations throughout the day.
Kingdom Out was not just about services; it was a celebration of community. The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement, thanks to an array of giveaways, fun activities, and refreshments. Wisynco generously provided snacks, and Refresh kept everyone hydrated with water. Cal's delighted attendees with snow cones in delicious flavors, alongside popcorn and hot dogs, ensuring no one went hungry.
Children reveled in a day of play with bounce about, treats, and activities in a family-friendly environment. The event also featured a vibrant gospel concert, kick-started by The Families in Praise team from CDMI Families. The concert culminated in an electrifying performance by Rian Davis, with other talented artists like Minister D Brown, Deandra Brown, and Akeem 'Shortboss' Smith adding to the festive spirit.
LivewireMC kept the crowd entertained throughout the day, while the Kingdom Out team stood out in their vibrant, brightly colored T-shirts sponsored by Guardian Life. The day concluded with the distribution of over 200 care packages, filled with essential items and food, bringing smiles and relief to many families.
Community members expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the event, wishing for it to happen again. They thanked Dr. Dunbar and her team at CDMI Families for organizing the event, thoroughly enjoyed the gospel concert, and looked forward to the return of Kingdom Out in the future.
The success of Kingdom Out 2024 was made possible by the generous support of numerous friends and corporate sponsors of CDMI. Organizations like Guardian Life, Grace, Wisynco, Delect, Bleach Plus Manufacturing, Gentle, Cal's, Food For The Poor, Nutrition Products Limited, Consumer Packaging Limited, and the Ministry of Health & Wellness, among others, played a pivotal role in ensuring the event's success. Their contributions enabled an outpouring of support and resources for the community.
Carla Dunbar Ministries International, led by the visionary Bishop Dr. Carla Dunbar, continues to make significant strides in nurturing and restoring marriages and families. With plans to host Kingdom Out events in every parish across Jamaica twice a year, CDMI remains committed to fostering community well-being and empowering families with the tools and resources they need to thrive.
As Kingdom Out 2024 came to a close, the Golden Spring Community Center was left with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and hope. The smiles, laughter, and heartfelt thanks from those served are a testament to the profound impact of this event. CDMI and its partners look forward to continuing this journey of making a positive difference in the lives of many, one family at a time.
